10/100m Multimode Fiber Media Converter
This is a 10/100M auto-sensing ethernet fiber optic media converter with external power supply and SC connector. It supports the 10/100BASE-TX twisted-pair electrical signal and the 100BASE-FXX light signal interconversion. It expands the network transmitting range limit from the copper wire 100 meters to 2 kilometers (multi- model optical fiber) and can be linked to a hub, network switch, or server.
When it is connected to a fast Ethernet switchboard with the auto negotiation function, the media converter will the automatically select between full duplex or the half-duplex pattern to ensure the maximum transmission band width. When failure appears in the optical fiber link, it can provide accurate reports to the network management system. Additionally it has a high-level internal exchanging engine to control wrong disseminations effectively and provide quick and stable transmission.
