Alarms

Unlike surveillance systems, alarm systems provide proactive protection against security threats and break-ins. A well placed alarm system can immediately deter an intruder and inform persons in authority once a facility has been compromised. There are two types of alarm systems that can be installed:

  • Wireless: As its name implies, wireless alarm systems do not use wires to connect sensors to a panel. Its accessories communicate with and send triggers to the panel wirelessly. The advantage of this system is it is easy to install especially for building and facilities which have already been constructed. They can be installed as an add-on to the facility with minimal installation effort.
  • Hard-wired: This alarm system connects sensors to its alarm panel using wires. A clear advantage of wired systems is that some of its alarm sensors and accessories do not need batteries.
