UTP Cable Power Distance Chart
When power is transmitted over long distances, voltage may drop. To reduce the amount of voltage drop, pairs of wires can be combined. The chart below shows the voltage over different distances using 1, 2 and 3 pairs of wires. The chart assumes use of a 24AWG CAT5 cable.
