USB to RS-485 converter
The PCT-UR5 is a USB to RS-485 converter. It looks like the PCT-UR2 USB to RS-232 converter but has an additional cable which converts from serial RS-232 to RS485. RS485 is used both in CCTV and access control applications among others. In CCTV it is used to connect PTZ cameras while in access control applications, it is the protocol for sending data from the reader to the computer. Most computers do not have built-in RS485 terminals and this device allows connecting the PC to devices that require RS485.
